My Commitment to Educators
I truly believed education would be my forever career. I earned my master's degree in education and spent more than seven years teaching high school before making the difficult decision to step away for both personal and professional reasons. Although my career path changed, my admiration for educators never has.
I know firsthand the long hours, emotional investment, and unwavering dedication it takes to show up for students every single day. Seeing what teachers continue to navigate today only deepens my respect for the work they do.
Supporting Those Who Support Others
Mental Health Advocacy is just as personal to me. I've experienced my own mental health journey and have also lost both my uncle and grandfather to suicide. Those experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the mental health professionals who walk alongside others during some of life's most difficult moments.
